Pollinate Collection

Pollination is a journey. It is the transfer of pollen grains between one part of a flower and another. With the collection Poliniza, Concomitentes Editora opens up a space for collective reflection that serves as a bridge between artistic practices, territories, and communities that would otherwise hardly come into contact. Just as pollen travels thanks to a third party—the wind, the insect, the hand that carries it without being its final recipient—this collection seeks to be that intermediary agent, a place where ideas, processes, and learnings can fecund others, far from their origin, giving rise to ways of thinking and acting that would not have emerged in isolation.

It is no coincidence that Concomitentes is the one who will launch this collection. Our practice consists of producing works of art that arise from a citizen desire, mediating between communities and artists to give collective form to that will.

Poliniza aspires to carry out a slow exercise of reflection on many of the complexities that these processes entail. Hence, each publication-pollen in this collection is the result of a question.
