Veronica Valentini

Veronica Valentini is a curator, educator and researcher whose practice is situated at the intersection between visual arts, critical education and social context. Since 2022 she has been directing the international residency and research network programmes at Hangar, a centre for artistic production and research in Barcelona.
Her work focuses on the creation of new audiences, cultural rights, accessibility and experimental institutionality from an intersectional perspective, and conceives curatorial practice as a relational exercise that listens to contexts, choreographs affects, knowledge and diverse bodies, and cultivates links towards new ways of being and doing together.
As a founding member of Concomitentes, she has been a mediator of the project Diversorium. Artes en vivo y espacio de convivencias. She is also founder and director of E.M.M.A. and BAR project, independent platforms from which she promotes research, training (BAR TOOL), residencies and exhibitions at HAUS - Espai d'Art i Pràctiques Contemporànies, contributing to articulate collaborative networks, experimental pedagogies and spaces for situated thought.
