Jose Iglesias García-Arenal

Jose Iglesias García-Arenal works through artistic and curatorial practice on long-term projects concerning issues such as memory politics or the symbolic construction of territory, using different media such as writing, audiovisual pieces, or community research and creation processes, particularly in non-urban contexts and within the framework of the climate and energy crisis. Since 2019, he has directed Plataforma MAL, an association dedicated to artistic research and creation processes from the “diffuse urbanities” of the Iberian Southwest, developing residencies, workshops, mediation processes, and various activities against “cultural desertification”.
