Ernesto Ganuza

Ernesto Ganuza is a sociologist, a researcher at the IPP (CSIC), and currently part of the coordination team for a Citizens' Convention of people selected by lottery to rethink the tourism model on the island of Gran Canaria. He is particularly interested in participation, as a reflection of the political space we all weave together. Is the author of Democracy is Possible: Sortition and Deliberation to Reclaim Citizen Power alongside Arantxa Mendiharat (2020), Popular Democracy: the paradox of participation alongside Gianpaolo Baiocchi (2017) or Democracy in Action: A Vision from Participatory Methodologies from the Antigone collective (2010).
