Activation of Iván Argote's artwork

It is inherent to any library to want to reach out to people. Without readers, no library is worth its salt. That is why, from time to time, if the library is able to, it moves and goes to markets, swimming pools, underground stations, classrooms and, of course, the theatre.

On 7 September, the Fine Arts Library is visiting the Teatro del Barrio to carry out a new activation of Iván Argote's work.

skin tables, tattoo tables, secret tables, tables that talk, ask questions, seek each other and get lost (2025) is the resulting artwork of the concurrency Biblioteca Bellas Artes UCM. The set is made up of a total of 18 tables that function as woodcut printing blocks. In 2025, the first table, “Biblioteca travesti”, was printed”, and at this activation the “Te doy mi palabra” table will be printed.

• Duplicate, written-off, and out-of-print books and posters are looking for owners.
