L'Horta: desirable futures

Metabolic connections. Climate and community agriculture is a participatory art project that was created with the aim of making visible the role of the food sovereignty in the restoration of the Valencian territory after the 2024 DANA. After the kick-off meeting last October, we propose a second meeting to be held on the following day. 13 December at Algrà, Espai d'art, pensament crític i ecologisme. 

We invite citizen groups, farmers and neighbours to participate in a theatre workshop on food sovereignty and territorial defence mediated by Rafa Segura, which will help us to nurture visions of desirable futures for the territory of l'Horta.

In parallel to these activities, a workshop dedicated to children will be held, mediated by Víctor Roca, to facilitate the participation of families in the initiative.

PROGRAMME

Place: Algrà, Parque natural de l'Albufera, Alfafar [LOCATION]

10:00h Transport from Valencia city 

10:30h Arrival at Algrà and presentation of the space.

10:45h Theatre workshop with kitchen objects. Food sovereignty and defence of the territory with Rafa Segura.

14:00h Return to Valencia

Free activity with prior registration. Includes an agro-ecological lunch - Menjador ambulant de l'Horta.
