On 25th November, let's get together to think about the landscape intervention in Pasatempo Park.

The artist who will develop the commission will be Carme Nogueira, who will emulate through pieces of recycled cement an old canle of the Park.

For the last five years, a participative artistic project has been underway in the Parque do Pasatempo in Betanzos. The objective is, after an intense selection process, to see what could be the citizen's contribution to the care of such an important legacy as the Parque do Pasatempo. 

The artist who will develop the commission will be Carme Nogueira, The project will emulate through recycled cement pieces an old canle of the Park, these pieces will also serve as a new meeting place for the locals and the intervention is expected to be developed next to the Irmáns García Naveira football pitch.

In addition to the artist from Vigo, there are also Iñigo Segurola, He is a renowned landscape gardener and gardener who has created the incredible Lu Garden in Euskadi, and is also a public figure for having been the gardener of the programme Bricomanía on 2, in which a whole generation learned to make gardens with him.

With this public meeting we seek to get together with the two artists to think together about what an intervention in the garden could be like that would dialogue with Carme Nogueira's own pieces, with the park itself and with the uses that the public makes of the place. The session will take place on Saturday 25 ás 12h diante da Estatua da Caridade.

This artistic project is part of Concomitentes, an art production company that develops artistic projects based on the demands of the community and has the support of the Asociación Amigas del Parque del Pasatiempo (Friends of the Pasatiempo Park Association), ACLP Roxín Roxal e a Association of Friends of the Historical Centre of Betanzos, in addition to the collaboration of the Council of Betanzos e o apoio da Daniel and Nina Carasso Foundation e a Spanish Presidency of the EU Council.

The commissioning artist will be Carme Nogueira, who will emulate, through recycled cement pieces, an old canal in the Park. These pieces will also serve as a new meeting place for the neighbours and it is planned that the intervention will take place next to the Irmáns García Naveira football pitch.
