Repairing the Earth Days

First plundering and then abandonment - what are we to do with territories that have suffered twice over from industrialisation?

With these conferences, which will take place on 24 May in La Térmica Cultural (Ponferrada) and on 25 May in Barruelo de Santullán, we will generate a space for meeting and debate on the meaning of reparation and the ways in which participatory art can be a reparative agent for damaged territories.

This conference is part of Art Living Lab to Repair the Land, a project that takes place in three European territories - Barruelo de Santullán (Palencia, Spain), Wietstock (Ludwigsfelde, Germany) and Šibenik (Šibenik-Knin, Croatia) - that have undergone a process of industrial reconversion whose legacy has altered the landscape and the ways of life of the local communities. Its aim is to contribute to the repair of these territories through participatory art processes.
