Llorián García Flórez

Llorián García Flórez is an anthropologist of listening, community connector and gaiteru. It combines conventional academic research with the conjuring of the powers that be. indisciplinary fields opened up by artistic research. His work, always ex-Asturianist, deals with the music and alternative ruralities, the reactivation of the participatory traditional dance, the experimental nature of the pipe accompaniment, the gaiapolitik of the cucho (manure), and the queer auralities. In 2024 he co-curated together with the Asturian artist Ricardo Villoria the exhibition Rodrigo Cuevas: the grace of folkloric agitation(LABoral: Centro de Arte y Creación Industrial). Currently, he works as a substitute professor at the University of Uviéu, and curates the public programme of Contemporary Thought of Uviéu's candidacy for the European Capital of Culture of Culture.
