Parke Youth Collective
Kolectivo Jóvenes Parke is a non-profit organisation that operates in the neighbourhood of “Parke Alcosa” (Horta Sud, Valencia). It is part of the Koordinadora Kolectivos del Parke and the Plataforma de Iniciativa Social: a network of associations, grassroots organisations and cooperatives working to combat and reduce the risks of socio-economic exclusion of the entire population. Until the time of the flood that devastated the southern areas of Valencia, the activities were carried out in the Day Centre for Coexistence and Educational Support, aimed at children between 5 and 14 years of age, and in the Day Centre for Socio-Labour Insertion, aimed at teenagers and young people. Nowadays, the activities are carried out in the public space or in the facilities of the Koordinadora by the Alfafar City Council.
