Fostering patronage ecosystems.
Patronage is one of the citizenry's capacities for co-responsibility in the design and creation of cultural, scientific or social projects. It is important to encourage it as a tool at the service of the economic, social, scientific and cultural development of the territory. In addition to accrediting the culture of patronage, it is necessary to promote a space from which to meet the demands of this reality, both in Galicia and in other territories.
Attending to patronage is a commitment to continue thinking about who finances culture or research, what our responsibility is as citizens and what answers we can give to the crisis of the role of the state as guarantor of the right to culture.. Through multiple means, such as collaborative payment for parties, citizens have created their own leisure spaces, which allows us to see how there is a substratum of collective financing and also of social justice, which is seen not only through taxes, but also in response to inequalities or environmental crises, to name a few cases. Through the Culture of Patronage Day we want to think about which ecosystems could be the most favourable for increasing the culture of patronage..
Objectives of the day:
- To address the question of art on patronage, answering: What is being done around patronage? What actions and policies are being developed in other territories?
- To learn about experiences, examples and cases of good practices related to sponsorship.
- To open a space for dialogue in which to address the potential of patronage as an exercise in social commitment.
Development of the day:
See is divided into two parts, the first called Overviews, in the form of talks with a final debate and, in the afternoon, a participatory session to think about how to promote a greater culture of patronage. Today's challenges require multiple intelligences to be solved. Participatory dynamics, designed within the framework of group management and facilitation, are methodologies that are increasingly used in meetings, conferences or seminars to respond to global or specific organisational challenges. They allow large groups of people to be actively involved, encouraging everyone to speak, reflect on the content and share their impressions or proposals in a proactive and collaborative way. They favour the creation of a pleasant climate in which participants can network with each other.

In the context of the Consello da Cultura de Galicia's Conference on Patronage Culture, we consider that it makes sense to have a participative session, whose main objectives are:
- Address what values, beliefs, cognitive or legislative frameworks could be in place to improve the culture of patronage.
- Gather information that can guide the next steps in patronage work.
- Generate a pleasant climate that favours the interrelation between people and institutions.
- Through this participatory session, we tried to think collectively about how we could create a favourable ecosystem to increase the culture of patronage.
