And we will have to continue, won't we?

Participative day and Choreographed Choral Singing.
Ao longo do último trimestre do 2019 celebramos en Betanzos unha serie de sesiones participativas coas que se procuraba to know what was the collective desire to create a work of art. Throughout the meetings, ideas, dreams and difficulties emerged.. We were concerned that the creation should be enduring in time and practical, and also that it should meet a contemporary challenge, just as the works of the Irishmen García Naveira did, we addressed the usefulness or otherwise of the work of art. In March of this year we should have elaborated the “Encargo ao artista”, a summary of the collective will, as that expression of interest with which the artist could produce his work starting from the collective desire.
Mais a covid non o permitiu. It was necessary to stop, to get tired. Os nosos corpos distanciaronse e a saúde e os coidados ocuparon a vida. We are at a standstill, perhaps it is about time, but in some cases we miss being together. Surely things will no longer be as they used to be, and this doubt is why we are once again holding a participative session in which we want to ask ourselves if what we talked about in 2019 is still valid or if, on the other hand, covid also made us rethink our priorities and values.
We are making this new invitation to a xornada participativa que terá lugar no Teixeiro (no coto de Chelo do Mandeo, Paderne) o sábado 19 de setembro, de 11:30 a 14h, In it we will rethink the artist's commission, see the progress and the next steps in the project. And in addition we will make an offering, under the company of the perfomers Marina Oural and Ugia Pedreira, from the Oficina Galega de Outros Asuntos do Movemento, with them and all of us we will create a musical performance with collective choreography under the rhythmic, melodic and structural inspiration of a habanera or tango that will link us to the inspiration of emigration, melodic and structural inspiration of a habanera or tango that will link us to the inspiration of emigration to America, and on the other hand, we will immerse ourselves in an ode to the landscape of Betanzos through the melismatic and free alalá, the blues of Galicianness.
Register at fran@concomitentes.org, The space is limited, and at all times remain at a distance of two metres per person. Those who do not wish to attend because they do not feel comfortable, can also send an email and we will be able to have an online meeting afterwards.
Throughout the last quarter of 2019 we held a series of participatory sessions in Betanzos that sought to understand the collective desire to create a work of art. In these sessions ideas, dreams and difficulties arose, for example, we talked about whether the creation should last over time and be practical, or whether it should meet a contemporary challenge, as the works of the García Naveira brothers did, and we also addressed the usefulness or otherwise of the work of art. In March of this year we should have finalised the definition of the “artist's commission», a summary of that collective will with which the artist could produce his work from that desire, but covid did not allow it.
We had to stop, to withdraw into ourselves. Our bodies drifted apart and health and care have taken over life. We stood still, maybe it was time, but we also missed being together.
Surely things will no longer be as they were before and this question is why we will have a new participatory session with which we want to ask ourselves if what we talked about in 2019 is still valid or, on the contrary, if covid also made us rethink priorities or values.
This new invitation to a participative day will take place in the Teixeiro (in the reserve of Chelo do Mandeo, Paderne) on Saturday 19th September, from 11:30 to 14hrs.
In it we will rethink the commission to the artist, we will see the advances and next steps in the project; and we will make an offering in the company of the performers Marina Oural and Ugia Pedreira, from the Oficina Galega de Outros Asuntos do Movemento, with whom we will create a musical piece with collective choreography under the rhythmic, melodic and structural inspiration of a habanera or tango that links us with the inspiration of emigration to America, while we immerse ourselves in the ode to the landscape of Betanzos through the melismatic and free alalá, the blues of Galicia.
You need to register at fran@concomitentes.org. Space is limited and at all times a distance of two metres per person will be maintained. Those who do not wish to attend because they do not feel comfortable can also send an email and we can have an online meeting later.
