We launch our mediation video!

This work has been done hand in hand with Veni Studio.

We are sure that, on more than one occasion, you have wondered how we work at Concomitentes and what are the secrets of our working methods. For this reason, we have prepared this video that explains, step by step, the details of each phase, from the identification of the social cause and the group of patrons until the work of art is inaugurated.

Our work is based on the protocol developed in the 1990s by the Belgian artist François Hers, a simmering process in which the mediating figure negotiates and manages the concerns of the citizens with whom he collaborates, in order to try to respond to a social problem through a work of an artistic or cultural nature.

But at what point does each actor become part of this process? How is the artist selected? How does he or she relate to the commissioners? There are many questions that come to light as a result of the protocol. For this reason, we wanted to produce this audiovisual piece, with the help of Vení Studio, in which we explain our work in a didactic way.

Art for Sustainability Call for Proposals

The call seeks to set up a new partnership to produce a public artwork based on a citizen's demand, for which any professional in the cultural sector with the capacity to mediate between citizen and artistic collectives can apply.
