UCI Paediatrics receives the support of CajaCanarias

The donation has helped to build the mobile library and the CajaCanarias Foundation has provided the space for the presentation of the three works of art, which will take place next week in Tenerife.
Our Tenerife partner, UCI Pediátrica, has received the support of CajaCanarias, one of the most important organisations on the island where the project has been running for the last four years.
This collaboration, which takes the form of the final closing of the project, which will celebrate its closing event on 15 September at 20.00hrs, in the auditorium of the headquarters of the CajaCanarias foundation.-symbolises the impulse of the regional entities to the initiative promoted by the mediator, Felipe G. Gil of ZEMOS98, together with the five members of the nursing staff of the Paediatric ICU of the University Hospital Nuestra Señora de Candelaria in Tenerife, to attend to the emotional care of paediatric patients.
Among the clauses considered in the agreement signed with Concomitentes is a financial contribution for the construction of the mobile library, the ‘cuidateca’, by the Canarian architect, Artemi Hernández de la Office of Civic Innovation in collaboration with Octavio Barrera, which aims to transform the environment of the Paediatric ICU, helping the children admitted to the hospital to go through their experience of hospital admission. A support that boosts the work of this Canarian organisation, through the donation of this local banking institution.
In addition, the Fundación CajaCanarias will lend its auditorium for the celebration of a event in Tenerife of the project, where the three works of art resulting from the project's participatory journey will be exhibited: a podcast, directed by the journalist Elena Cabrera; a illustrated story, The mobile library, devised by El Hematocrítico, and illustrated by Cynthia Hierro; and the aforementioned mobile library.
