The project 'Solar Narratives' will participate in the activity 'Franco's colonisation and capitalist emptying'.

The programme is organised by the Complutense University of Madrid and Carleton University, and consists of activities in Valladolid today and tomorrow, and León during the weekend.

The Spanish (R)evolution programme, organised by the Complutense University of Madrid and Carleton University, is organising from tomorrow until Sunday, the activity ‘Franco's colonisation and capitalist emptying’.’, in the provinces of Valladolid and León.

Specifically, the programme, designed to promote the learning of Spanish through interaction with people from different cultural backgrounds, will include a visit on Sunday to the region of La Sobarriba, where the Concomitentes project, Solar Narratives, is being developed, which seeks to rethink how to activate an ecological transition that is committed to and fair with the territory.

During the walk through the space, the mediator Alfredo Escapa will take part, as well as some of the comitentes and neighbours of the region. An initiative that will provide an opportunity to talk about the context and practice promoted by Concomitentes, as well as the causes behind the struggle of the Sobarriba Platform, which began working on this project in 2022, and which in 2024 will inaugurate a work that represents this journey of mediation and participatory process.

After the visit, the tour will continue to other areas of the province of León, such as Villavente to Sahechores or the city of León.
