The podcast "In the Paediatric ICU" publishes its first episode

The first chapter is already available on eldiario.es, since 13 October.
The podcast «In the Paediatric ICU», a radio story, was the first work we presented in the Paediatric ICU project. Directed by the journalist and podcaster, Elena Cabrera, In this work, in which he has spent two years, he tried to uncover the secrets of the “black box” of the hospital environment: “a shielded and isolated space, not because it wants to be, but because we have all created it that way”.
The podcast, consisting of 5 chapters, will be posted on eldiario.es weekly from Thursday 13 October, reconstructing a “narrative of care”.”.
“I received the invitation to join Concomitentes with great fascination and intuition that there were many stories behind it (...) from the first moment I knew that they had these stories in store and that they wanted and needed to tell them and that I needed to listen to them. But also with fear, because for me, and for most people, hospitals are scary and you almost prefer not to know what goes on inside, which is why I realised that I had to have the courage to approach that hospital and its stories”, explained Elena in the public event on 15 September in Tenerife at which the work and its conclusions were presented.
The protagonists who will give voice to this story are the five nurses and project partners -Quique Chinea, Lili Quintero, Ruymán Morales, Seve Torres and Laura León-.; The voices of some of the relatives who have had children in hospital; among other people close to or connected in some way with the hospital environment.
The season will cover the details of the journey through a nurse's “shift” or working day, the story of the tools that, day by day, help little patients understand and navigate their difficult admission experience - in short, the experiences that connect children to these health professionals in the care process.
It has been hours of interviews, of listening, which are finally coming to an end.
