Sobarriba natural heritage

It is an informal group, which is thinking of becoming an association, recently formed against the proposed creation of a photovoltaic park on the land of the town council of Valdefresno within the National Integrated Energy and Climate Plan (PNIEC). Its members include people linked to MEDINAT (Natural Environment and Renewable Energies of the Cantabrian Mountains), ALIENTE (Energy and Territory Alliance) and the Valdefresno town council; as well as neighbours, farmers, livestock farmers and professionals from various fields who believe that the conservation of biodiversity must have the same weight as decarbonisation in the change of energy model, and who question the energy transition plans proposed in the region because they are unfair to its inhabitants, and because they attack its agro-systems and its humanised spaces by severely affecting its culture and territory.
