Osias Yanov
Osias Yanov's multidisciplinary practice includes celebrations, parties, installations, sculptures and videos. His works explore the creation of conceptual and sensorial fields of resistance to the stereotypical control of subjectivity, intersecting with queer theories, night parties, rituals, group work and communions with nature. Cultural objects and past histories are also part of her projects as elements that affect our bodily way of being in the world.
In 2015, his career included his VI Sesión en el Parlamento, a major project commissioned by MALBA, Museo de Arte Latinoamericano de Buenos Aires; and his exhibition at the Gwangju Biennale, South Korea, curated by Maria Lind; and at the Berlin Biennale 2020. Also in that year he participated in the DAAD Artists-in-Berlin residency programme. During 2021 and at present she is dedicated to the co-direction and programming of the neighbourhood cultural centre Pulpería Mutuálica in Buenos Aires.
