Javier Pérez Iglesias
I have been a “library activist” for many years, since before I worked in a library. My professional activity has always been related to learning processes, the public use of information, the social role of reading, free access to knowledge, cultural management and the publishing world. That is why I have been involved, inside and outside libraries, in university and scientific cooperation for development, in the publishing project “Education and Library”, in supporting teaching and research in academic environments and in different initiatives that work for inclusive and socially committed libraries. Since October 2013, I have been reading, writing, organising workshops and organising readings in the Library of the Faculty of Fine Arts at the Complutense University of Madrid, of which I am the director.
