Re]getting to know the mountain

The group of members of [Re]conocer el monte (Re]conocer el monte is a space for assembly and open to the participation of anyone, which arose from the meeting between the platform Salvemos Peñamayor and the cultural space La Benéfica de Piloña. It is currently made up of about fifteen people, mostly women, with middle-aged profiles, although there are also young and old people. New settlers predominate, although the group also includes some autochthonous people. All of them live in Peñamayor and feel deeply concerned about the biocultural consequences that the opening of the mine could bring to this enclave.
