Chiara Sgaramella

Artist, activist and lecturer at the University of Barcelona, she researches the confluences between collaborative processes and art linked to eco-social issues in the contemporary scene. She holds a doctorate in Fine Arts and has been visiting scholar at the Center for Creative Ecologies at the University of California, Santa Cruz (USA). Alongside her academic activity, she develops artistic, pedagogical and mediation projects related to socio-environmental issues. Her work has been exhibited in international exhibitions and she has participated in artistic residencies related to ecologically focused art such as Sites of Practice (2024), Sustainable Earth (UPV, 2023) and Groundwork for Embedded Art Practices (UNIDEE-Fondazione Pistoletto, 2021), among others. She is co-founder of the art collective Cuerpoterritorio.
