Libraries during and after confinement.

In this exceptional situation we are living in, the Library Laboratories project has designed a space for meetings to reflect on the impact the pandemic will have on libraries. and how we can respond to the challenges ahead.

The first session took place on Tuesday, 12 May at 18:00 and was entitled Libraries during and after internment. It was entitled Libraries during and after confinement, Javier Pérez Iglesias, library activist and director of the Fine Arts Library of the Complutense University of Madrid., The Anti-Reporting, a summary (the Anti-Report) on the measures taken by libraries in response to the crisis, was produced.

This presentation served as the basis for a subsequent debate where Javier, together with Laia Sánchez, from Citilab; Matt Finch, consultant for cultural institutions in strategic management, community outreach and collection and event development; and Alicia Sellés, president of FESABID analysed this situation and presented their ideas on the impact of the crisis on libraries in the future.
