Fran Quiroga, new Concomitentes coordinator

The transition began last January.

Concomitentes enters a new phase with the help of Fran Quiroga, The project is to be coordinated by the Galician Legado Cuidado, until now the mediator of the Galician concomitance Legado Cuidado, who will take over the general coordination of the project from this January onwards. 

Fran is a transdisciplinary researcher whose work hybridises fields of action such as contemporary creation, social participation and thought. He has directed experimental research such as #salóndoMARCO, Fiestas Raras or Ruraldecolonizado, among others. He is also co-editor and co-author of several publications such as ‘Pensar y Hacer en el medio rural’ (Madrid, Ministerio de Cultura y Deporte, 2020), ‘A través das marxes’ (Lugo, Bartlebooth, 2017), ‘La fiesta, lo raro y el espacio público’ (Lugo, Bartlebooth, 2019) or ‘Mutaciones en el espacio público’ (Bartlebooth, 2021). From 2015 until the end of last year, he worked with the research group HISTAGRA at the University of Santiago de Compostela.

To date, and since the beginning of Concomitentes in Spain, the coordination has been in the hands of Sören Meschede, which from this year will develop a concomitance in Cantabria.
