Diversorium will be presented at 'Manifesta 15 Barcelona'.

The new proposal will be guided by the artistic practice of Ariadna Guiteras, focusing on bodies and the relationships that shape them.

The art biennial Manifesta 15 Barcelona, which will be held in the city from 8 September to November, will celebrate a new edition of the Concomitentes project, Diversorium, guided by the practice of Ariadna Guiteras with a focus on bodies and the relationships that shape them.

Guiteras« research process has led her from a more traditional performative practice to a language of artistic experimentation that also draws on other forms, using strategies such as slow temporalities, ceramics, textiles and modular structures to explore the medieval concept of the »porous body".

His recent work proposes a dismantling of the systems that shape identities, focusing on adulthood and its abolition, thus connecting with the aim of ‘Diversorium’, which was created in 2018 by the activists Antonio Centeno and María Oliver together with the medoadora Veronica Valentini, to “generate spaces of encounter between people with and without disabilities, through dance, partying and enjoyment”.

Diversorium has already taken place at MACBA (Barcelona), Sala Apolo (Barcelona), Sala Paral-lel 62 (Barcelona), BAM Festival (Barcelona), MDT Moderna Dansteatern (Stockholm) and Culturpolis (Barcelona) or La Ferme du Buisson art centre in Paris.
