Online workshop: 'Nature Based Solutions and art. A relationship to explore'.

The meeting, which will be held in English, will take place on Thursday, 21 March from 10 a.m. to 12 noon, and registration is required.

More and more spaces in the fields of business, the environment and citizen participation are calling for nature-based solutions that are committed to the urgent needs of our world. In this scenario, it is increasingly necessary to (re)think about what the contribution of art can be in this process and to imagine how to produce sustainable, nature-based artistic works.

This challenge requires us to rethink imaginaries, aesthetics or forms of collective governance that provide responses to these other forms of cultural creation and production, understanding them in an ecosystemic way and considering the ways in which nature is related.

This online workshop «Nature Based Solutions and art. A relationship to explore».», The workshop, given by Juan del Río, will take place on Thursday, 21 March from 10am to 12 noon. The language of the workshop will be English. Juan del Río is an educator, author, researcher and activist, specialising in promoting alternative paradigm shifts towards a society that adapts to the biophysical limits of the planet, more connected to nature. He is currently co-director of ECOLISE.

Thus, in this online meeting we will delve into the knowledge of other forms of cultural and artistic creation and production, while exploring how art can contribute as an amplifier and detonator of processes of social transformation and relationship with the environment.
