Voting on the two commissioning options

On Saturday 26th June the people of Llanos voted on the two proposals for the future commissioning of Concomitentes.

After meeting since the end of April every Wednesday evening at eight o'clock to think about what this potential project could consist of, we reached the end of the process. Two options were agreed upon and then voted on by everyone with a house in Llanos and at least seven years of age.

Option 1: The waters of Llanos

The possibility of this commission comes from a multitude of desires among the inhabitants of Llanos regarding the rivers and springs of the village, among which the following have been mentioned:

- Care for the springs.

- Recovering the fountains and their environment.

- Recovering the spaces of union that once existed on the banks of the river.

- Reclaim/construct the roads along the rivers.

- Create an access to the pool and provide the space to be there comfortably.

- Improve the physical appearance of bridges.

Our desire is to restore the value of our relationship with water, to recover the traditions that exist around this resource and to generate a dialogue between the neighbours of Llanos, united in our interest to preserve this natural heritage that surrounds us.

Option 2: A common space

Through the Concomitentes project, we want to use the artistic commission to generate a social meeting space that allows the creation of a community and encourages the participation, dynamism and activity of the neighbours. In short, something from the people for the people where sensibilities and interests come together. For example:

- A multidisciplinary covered space that can be used in a versatile way.

- Design of the space in the premises that the town council has undertaken to acquire for the town.

Generate forms of use, activation, participation and enjoyment of the new premises or other spaces to promote participation and the social fabric in Llanos.

There was a lot of interest from the people and 110 people voted! Option 1, Las Aguas de Llanos, won by a comfortable majority of 78 votes.

We have a commission!!!
