The past 30 November the Teatro Central in Seville<\/u> hosted the first meeting \u2018In Between. For mediation in Europe that strengthens inclusive communities\u2019.\u2019<\/a>, <\/strong>-and supported by Concomitentes and ZEMOS98-, and supported by the Spanish Presidency of the Council of the European Union<\/strong> y Spanish Cultural Action<\/strong>-which seeks to promote a model of cultural mediation in Europe as a fundamental pillar of cultural policies and thus position this type of participatory artistic practice.<\/p>\n

The main conclusions of the day, and which will set the roadmap for the \u2018In Between\u2019 project in the coming months, were based on the difficulty of name the professional who carries out the cultural mediation: <\/strong>Curator<\/em> o commissioner<\/em>, mediator<\/em> o cultural worker with the community... <\/em>The complexity of this practice begins with the difficulty of naming the professional who develops it. In this sense, perhaps it is not so urgent to name it, but rather to focus on the practice itself and the ways of doing that sustain it.<\/p>\n
