{"id":753,"date":"2023-04-12T00:00:00","date_gmt":"2023-04-12T00:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/concomitentes.vl22350.dinaserver.com\/actividad-publica-en-leon-narrativas-habitadas-para-paisajes-solares\/"},"modified":"2025-07-15T18:51:21","modified_gmt":"2025-07-15T18:51:21","slug":"public-activity-in-leon-inhabited-narratives-for-solar-landscapes","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/concomitentes.org\/en\/actividad-publica-en-leon-narrativas-habitadas-para-paisajes-solares\/","title":{"rendered":"Public activity in Le\u00f3n: 'Inhabited narratives for solar landscapes'."},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The project '<a href=\"https:\/\/concomitentes.org\/en\/concomitances\/solar-narratives\/\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\">Solar Narratives<\/a>\u2019organises the conference <strong>\u2018Inhabited narratives for solar landscapes\u2019 in different venues in the province of Le\u00f3n from Thursday 20 to Saturday 22 April.<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>The three days - to be held in the Cerezales Foundation (Cerezales del Condado), the Museum of Leonese Villages (Mansilla de las Mulas) and the Town Hall of Valdefresno - will be held in the Cerezales Foundation (Cerezales del Condado), the Museum of Leonese Villages (Mansilla de las Mulas) and the Town Hall of Valdefresno, <strong>seek to reflect on the role of art and culture in the management of environmental challenges<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><strong><u>**To go to each of the three days there will be bus service available, to book a place write to this WhatApp: +34 659.976.087, information of where and when to catch the bus for each day in the schedule (below)**.<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The Leonese initiative has been working hand in hand with the mediator since 2022, <a href=\"https:\/\/concomitentes.org\/en\/protagonists\/alfredo-escapa-presa\/?proyecto=narrativas-solares\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\">Alfredo Escapa<\/a>, y \u2018<a href=\"https:\/\/concomitentes.org\/en\/protagonists\/the-citizens-platform-in-defence-of-sobarriba\/?proyecto=narrativas-solares\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\">The Citizens' Platform for the Defence of Sobarriba<\/a>\u2019 for <strong>activating a just and sustainable ecological transition that is committed to the territory of this region of Le\u00f3n<\/strong>, where 10,000 macro solar plants are planned to be installed, threatening crops, pastures and forests in the local context.<\/p>\n<p>From 2022 and throughout 2023, mediation sessions will be held with the community from which a commission will emerge, to which an artist will have to respond through a work of art. Welcome<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><em>Participants: Fran Quiroga, coordinator of Concomitentes, and Alfredo Escapa, mediator of Solar Narratives.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong>16.35hrs. Intervention by Blanca de la Torre<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>She is a curator, art historian and researcher whose professional work is situated at the intersection between the visual arts, political ecology and sustainable creative practices.<\/p>\n<p><strong>17.05hrs. Welcome.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>17.05hrs. Intervention by V\u00edctor Casas<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>A biologist by training, consultant and environmental communicator by profession, he has carried out a number of museographic, educational and audiovisual projects in different rural areas of the western Iberian Peninsula. He is the founder of the Asociaci\u00f3n Nacional de Criadores de la Raza Asnal.<\/p>\n<p><strong>17.45hrs. Intervention by<\/strong> \u2018<strong>Animal Space Time\u2019.\u2019<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><em>Participants: Chus Dom\u00ednguez, Nilo Gallego, Violeta Alegre and Bel\u00e9n Sola.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong>\u2018Animal Space Time\u2019<\/strong> is an audiovisual creation and research project that approaches extensive pastoralism from a point of view that tries to learn another way of being and being in the world.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Chus Dom\u00ednguez <\/strong>is an audiovisual creator who works in the field of documentary filmmaking. Together with Bel\u00e9n Sola, he has set up and co-directs the LAAV_ (Laboratory of Experimental Audiovisual Anthropology) at the Musac.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Bel\u00e9n Sola Pizarro<\/strong> is a researcher and mediator between contemporary artistic practices, experimental ethnography and critical pedagogies. She is a member of the LAAV_ team.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Nilo Gallego Rodr\u00edguez<\/strong>. Musician, he makes performances in which experimentation with sound is the starting point. In his works he seeks audience participation and interaction with the environment.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Mar\u00eda Violeta Alegre<\/strong>. She has been a transhumant extensive livestock farmer in the province of Le\u00f3n since 1986, and since 2016 she has been a member of the \u2018Ganaderas en red\u2019 collective, and runs the website \u2018Pastores de la monta\u00f1a y ribera de Le\u00f3n\u2019 (Shepherds of the mountains and riverbanks of Le\u00f3n).<\/p>\n<p><strong>18.25hrs. Intervention by Bartlebooth<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><em>Participants: Antonio Gir\u00e1ldez and Pablo Ib\u00e1\u00f1ez<\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong>Bartlebooth<\/strong> is a research and publishing platform founded in 2013 that examines contemporary spatial practice through physical publications, web projects, audiovisual installations, exhibitions and workshops, among other formats.<\/p>\n<p><strong>19.05hrs. Intervention of \u2018Aerial landscape: the photographic preserve of Gordoncillo\u2019.\u2019<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><em>Participant: Urbano Seco Vallinas, Mayor of the municipality<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Gordoncillo is a municipality in the province of Le\u00f3n located in the extreme southeast, bordering the province of Valladolid, and is committed to conserving and expanding its natural heritage.<\/p>\n<p><strong>19.35hrs. Welcome.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>10.35hrs. Intervention of \u2018Aula paleobot\u00e1nica de Fabero\u2019, selected project Art for Change 2022, Fundaci\u00f3n \u00abla Caixa\u00bb.\u00bb<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><em>Participant: B\u00e1rbara Flux\u00e1<\/em><\/p>\n<p>A multidisciplinary artist, doctor, researcher and teacher, she is a specialist in new strategies and contemporary artistic practices related to the systemic environmental crisis, technology and nature.<\/p>\n<p><strong>11.05hrs. Intervention by \u2018Panderetero\u2019<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><em>Participant: Gabi G\u00f3mez Villalba<\/em><\/p>\n<p>He teaches traditional percussion at the Escuela de Formaci\u00f3n Tradicional del Ayuntamiento de Le\u00f3n, where he encourages his students' interest in Le\u00f3n culture.<\/p>\n<p><strong>11.35hrs. Intervention by \u2018La xata la rifa\u2019, Revista Laboral Centro de arte<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><em>Participant: M\u00f3nica Cofi\u00f1o<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Dancer and producer of events, she works in different fields of the contemporary scene, and co-founded the company Bailarinas Parab\u00f3licas and the training project La Pecera El\u00e1stica.<\/p>\n<p><strong>12.05hrs.- Solar Narratives.
