{"id":637,"date":"2021-10-27T00:00:00","date_gmt":"2021-10-27T00:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/concomitentes.vl22350.dinaserver.com\/el-arquitecto-canario-artemi-hernandez-construira-una-biblioteca-movil-para-la-uci\/"},"modified":"2025-07-15T18:51:19","modified_gmt":"2025-07-15T18:51:19","slug":"canarian-architect-artemi-hernandez-to-build-a-mobile-library-for-the-uci","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/concomitentes.org\/en\/el-arquitecto-canario-artemi-hernandez-construira-una-biblioteca-movil-para-la-uci\/","title":{"rendered":"Canarian architect Artemi Hern\u00e1ndez to build a mobile library for the ICU"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The fourth and last artist of the Tenerife concomitance, <a href=\"https:\/\/concomitentes.org\/en\/concomitances\/uci-paediatrica-tenerife\/\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\">Paediatric ICU<\/a>, will be the Canarian architect, Artemi Hern\u00e1ndez de la <u><a href=\"https:\/\/ofic.coop\/\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\">Office of Civic Innovation<\/a><\/u>, which will be in charge of the construction of a mobile library (third of the works of this project), which will collect \u201cmemories and memory\u201d, helping to transform the environment of the Paediatric ICU and to tell patients and professionals the secrets of this unknown and inhospitable environment.<\/p>\n<figure data-ratio=\"auto\">\n    <img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/concomitentes.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/07\/concomitentes_reportaje-10-scaled.jpg\" alt=\"\"><figcaption>\n    Artemi at one of the working sessions with the principals.  <\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>The work started only a few weeks ago, with the help of the principals, and the development is in an initial phase in which they are <strong>trying to uncover individual desires and needs, in order to reach common agreements and solutions<\/strong>. A rich, open, horizontal and exciting journey, according to <a href=\"https:\/\/concomitentes.org\/en\/diary\/we-want-the-mobile-library-to-be-transformational-not-just-entertainment\/?proyecto=uci-pediatrica-tenerife\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\">the artist himself tells us<\/a>We are still in a very abstract and conceptual phase, our way of working is based on a participative dynamic, on reaching certain agreements about what we want to achieve or transmit with this object. We haven't yet specified much, we are all learning a lot in the process. This mobile library will perhaps transform the ICU beyond what we imagined.<\/p>\n<p>From its practice, <strong>Artemi designs and promotes methodologies and processes that generate more efficient and healthy relational contexts.<\/strong>, as well as the conditions necessary to facilitate the <strong>urban management, social transformation and community development through design and mediation<\/strong>.
