In order to facilitate the work of mediators and citizens' groups, this year Concomitentes has unified what last year were two calls for proposals: one aimed at the general public and the other at people under 35 years of age. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Thus, on this occasion, the call, endowed with \u20ac80,000, will select two citizens' initiatives<\/strong> aimed at tackling an environmental issue through participatory art. One of the initiatives will be selected in the general category and the other in the <35 category, aimed at a citizen group made up of young people under the age of 35.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As in the past, the procedure for the submission of proposals will consist of two phases: one first phase of initial approach\/definition<\/strong> of the project (with basic information about the idea), and a second development phase for five selected proposals.<\/strong> This second phase will be remunerated with \u20ac200 (taxable base).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Proposals will be received from anywhere in Spain.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Who is this call addressed to?<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

1. Group of principals<\/span>A collective led by citizens who have a common goal. People who operate in a specific territory or context and have a claim, idea or desire to improve their community through an artistic project. For example; a group of neighbours, an activist collective, a citizen's platform, a work team... This group must be solid and be open to commit themselves on a voluntary basis to a project that will last around 18 months.<\/strong>. The collective can be formal or informal, legally registered as an association or not.

In the event that the citizens' collective does not have contact with a mediator\/agents from the cultural sector who can accompany them in the process, may be submitted independently <\/strong>raising <\/strong>Concomitentes will assist in the search for and selection of a suitable mediator for the objectives and needs of the project, should the project be selected.

In the case of the category Mycelium <35, the majority representation and leadership of young people in the group will be taken into account.

2. The mediator:<\/span> A person who assumes the role of mediation, which is understood to be that of a professional from the cultural and contemporary arts sector specialising in mediation, curating and cultural management,<\/strong> who also has a special sensitivity and empathy for mediating between social collectives and artists, experience in participatory cultural practices and in the integrated management of projects.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The mediator is the link between the project and Concomitentes, and will be in constant communication with a work team that will support her throughout the development of the project. She will also take part in the different activities and working groups that are developed and promoted by the association on behalf of her project.

In the case of the category Mycelium <35, it will be valued that this profile is also less than 35 years old, without being an excluding criterion.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The budget for this edition<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Each selected project will be allocated a budget line of 40,000 euros<\/strong>, 14,000 of which shall be used for the fees of the mediator and 26,000 euros for the production of the work and fees for the artist who will be selected in the final phase of the project, after the mediation process. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The duration of the participatory art project is estimated to be 18 months, once the resolution is communicated.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
